This Is Why I Hunt

I ran across this video the other day and wanted to share it.  It originally came from Outside Online, you can view the original post here. They did a really good job with this video.

I wouldn't normally think of Outside magazine as a pro-hunting publication, but it was nice to see this video anyway.  It seems like with the current popularity of eating natural, hormone free food, wild game would be a very natural choice.


My wife and I have decided to raise chickens this year.  In addition to being able to provide an opportunity for our kids to experience some more responsibility in taking care of the birds, we will also be able to enjoy fresh, natural eggs.

We are also increasing our gardening space to yield a larger crop of vegetables this year compared to previous years.  While we are a long way from satisfying our entire need for food ourselves, wild game, fresh eggs and home grown vegetables will help keep us happy and healthy with a lower grocery bill then normal.
